Enjoy a Beautiful & Healthy Smile With Implants

Teeth implants are small titanium posts that Dr. Adkison will insert in your jawbone to serve as replacement tooth roots. Once they’re in place, the titanium fuses with your bone to form a sturdy base for new teeth. After the fusing and healing process is complete, usually taking a few months, we will attach replacement teeth to your implants and complete your new smile.

If you’re nervous or uneasy about any part of your implant treatment, you can take advantage of dental sedation. We offer inhaled sedation in the form of laughing gas to give you an all-over feeling of lightness and euphoria during your procedure.

Our team offers several options to get your smile and bite back with implants:

  • Single Implant-Crown Combination – For one missing tooth, we’ll insert a single implant into your jaw, then attach a beautiful crown to it.
  • Implant-Supported Bridge – If you have a gap in your smile caused by multiple missing teeth, this style of bridge will work wonders. At least two dental implants will be used to anchor the bridge and fill in the gap.
  • Implant-Retained Dentures – Your new teeth will anchor to implants using a system of snaps and balls. They’ll only come out when you remove them.
  • Implant-Supported Dentures – For the most comfortable dentures, we’ll secure your teeth to implants using a sturdy metal bar. These teeth rival natural teeth in beauty and function.
  • All-on-X Dental Implants – We’ll use a minimal number of implants, usually four or six, to anchor a full arch of beautiful fixed teeth. They’ll stay firmly in place, and you won’t ever have to remove them for care.
  • Full-Mouth Reconstruction – Dr. Adkison will work hand in hand with you to create a custom treatment plan for restoring all your teeth. Soon, you’ll be able to smile confidently and eat in comfort again.

Common Questions About Dental Implants

Are dental implants painful?

Our patients usually experience only mild discomfort after getting their new implants. Dr. Adkison will use local anesthesia to ensure your mouth is numb and you don’t feel any pain. Plus, we offer sedation to help you relax and eliminate any dental anxiety you may experience.

Can dental implants be removed?

Dental implants could be removed, although it is not likely you would need to have them removed. Once your implants are placed in your jawbone, they will fuse with the bone and last for decades, if not a lifetime. Your replacement teeth attached to the implants will last five to 10 years on average.

How much do dental implants cost?

The cost of dental implants varies, depending mainly on how many implants you receive. In some cases you may also need another procedure, like a tooth extraction or bone grafts, to prepare for implants. We’ll discuss cost with you during the planning stage of your implant procedure so you know exactly what to expect. Financing options can make your care manageable.
